Kidsburgh Podcast ep. 7 is here: Behind the scenes with Daniel Tiger, fun at Ohiopyle and more
We dropped the first six episodes of the Kidsburgh Podcast last spring with interviews designed to inspire and inform adults and kids alike. In those episodes, listeners can hear from Pittsburgh Steeler Cam Heyward, rocket scientist and Girls Scouts CEO Sylvia Acevedo, Beverly’s founder Megs Yunn, former Pittsburgh Pirate Travis Snider, magician Mr. Messado and astronaut Mike Fincke share about their paths to success and adventure (and the hard work they did along the way).
This fall, we’re back with six all-new episodes to bring you even more inspiring interviews, details on great places to visit and insight from local teens who answer the questions that grownups are most curious about.
Here are details and links to Episode 7, where we go behind the scenes with “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” producer Chris Loggins, learning all about the live-action scenes that are filmed in Pittsburgh-area communities and even in people’s homes. (One of our big questions: How do you find local kids and families for these segments?)

Join hosts Yu-Ling Cheng, Melissa Rayworth and Kristine Sorensen for an exploration of beautiful, family-friendly Ohiopyle State Park. Then hear a conversation with Chris Loggins, supervising producer for “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” who takes us behind the scenes at this beloved show for preschoolers and shares about the show’s visits around Pittsburgh (check out details on how your child can audition to be on the show).
