High school musical season is here! The hard work of so many talented students is on dramatic display on stages throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania this spring. Again this year, our friends at KDKA-TV have compiled a detailed list of the many high school musicals happening in the Pittsburgh area and beyond.

For families with younger children, high school plays and musicals are a great way to introduce kids to the fun of theater-going. Many of the high schools in the Pittsburgh area produce shows filled with impressive performances and elaborate sets and costumes.

And yet tickets cost far less than shows you might find Downtown in the Cultural District, making these shows very affordable. So if little ones only make it through the first act, it will still have been worth the trip!
