Garden Party

Join us for our 3rd annual Garden Party at Ms. Mary’s Garden located next to the Homewood-Brushton YMCA on Wednesday, September 18 from 5p-7:30p
This free family friendly event, co-produced with Phipps’ Homegrown program, celebrates our growing community, partnerships and the abundance of the land.
What to expect:
- Vegan food from Pure Grub 412
- Italian ice from Sandy Boos Delites
- Mint lemonade from Shumans
- Live music from Geña y Peña
- Flower crown making with Burgs Blooms
- Poetry writing stations
- Garden activities throughout the garden
- Tree adoption pickups for those who adopt young trees from Tree Pittsburgh
This year we have a special collaboration with Write Pittsburgh as they launch their National Endowment for the Arts Big Read program exploring Ross Gay’s poetry collection, Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude. First attendees will receive free copies of Ross Gay’s book of poetry!
