Stories Like Me is celebrating our Second Anniversary with a party on Saturday, February 22nd, 1pm-4pm.
What to expect:
**Look for the Helpers Discount
Bring a Donation for Hugh’s Kitchen (a Hugh Lane program, see requested items here) or the Family Center in Homewood (see their requested items here) and receive a 10% discount on your purchase during the party. Thank you for supporting our community!
**Helpers on Hand
We are gathering a group of community leaders to be on hand to answer questions about where to get help and what resources are available to you and your community. This year is all about keeping each other safe – and this is our first practical step to doing that community-wide.
**Reading and Signing:
Lissette Norman is an Afro-Dominican cultural worker, poet and author and will be reading her book, Abuela’s Library. Lissette will be signing copies of both her picture books, including Plátanos Go With Everything, for purchase.
