Hear Me: youth perspectives on outdoor learning
The Hear Me project, an initiative of the CREATE Lab at Carnegie Mellon University, amplifies students’ voices using media and technology to create a world where they are heard, acknowledged and understood–giving them the power to inspire social change.
Over the past four months, Hear Me partnered with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to interview 103 local students about the role of hands-on outdoor learning in their education and their preferences for outdoor versus indoor learning. Over 60 percent of students interviewed said they preferred to learn outside. Hear their perspectives in the podcast below or browse all interviews here.
