There are so many ways to make a difference in your community. With the help of more than two dozen partner agencies, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is hosting their fourth annual Week of Caring from Sept. 11 through Sept. 15. Volunteer events will be happening throughout Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Fayette and Westmoreland counties.
Teams of volunteers can participate in Week of Caring events to help individuals and families meet basic needs, move toward financial stability and build for success in school and life. Search here for events that might be right for you and your family.
Volunteers will work on projects including refreshing the Healing Garden at HAVIN, organizing supplies and putting together “birthday cheer” packages at Beverly’s Birthdays, serving lunch and line dancing with senior citizens at Vintage.
