Kids can have big feelings: Cai & Kate are here to help!
We all know that navigating the world as a kid can be hard. It can bring on all sorts of big feelings, at any age.
As you help your kids learn to manage their feelings, one valuable resource is the YouTube show “Cai & Kate,” written by behavioral health specialists from AHN Chill Project.™
The show, which launched in the spring of 2023, follows Cai the chameleon and his human friend Kate as they adventure together around Cai’s tree and the greater community. Kids find it fun and entertaining, but the value of the show is actually much bigger. “Cai & Kate” is focused on supporting younger children and their families as they navigate the world of emotions through evidence-based coping techniques called Chill Skills.
The show blends puppetry, music, games and education to foster a sense of wonder as kids expand their ability to identify and talk about emotions.
The Chill Project’s goal is for “Cai & Kate” to act as the bridge to help families and children engage in meaningful conversation and feel supported as they navigate big moments. Using these skills in real life can be tough!
So to help support viewers and encourage practice, the Chill Project team has created a caregiver guide to accompany episodes 1-10. The guide can be found right here.
New episodes are released monthly, and you can join Cai and Kate on their journey by finding them on YouTube, Facebook, X and Instagram.. If you like what you see and want to help other families find this free resource, consider subscribing and sharing!
Until we meet again, Use Your Skills and Keep it Chill.™
