When Yu-Ling Cheng, Melissa Rayworth and Kristine Sorensen launched the Kidsburgh podcast last year (with vital tech support from our talented partners at SLB Radio), the goal was to create inspiring, informative and fun episodes that parents and kids could listen to together.

We pictured parents and kids of all ages cooking dinner together or maybe running errands in the car while listening to the ideas and stories shared by all kinds of interesting people with a connection to Pittsburgh. So we reached out to everyone from astronauts and rocket scientists to NFL, MLB and Olympic stars to local chefs, mental health therapists, teachers, life coaches and more, inviting them to be interviewed on our podcast.

And they all said, “Yes!”

We’ve now released two seasons (a total of 24 episodes) and we were really excited to discover that we’ve been nominated for a Best of the ‘Burgh award by Pittsburgh Magazine.

You can vote right here for the Kidsburgh Podcast in the Personalities category under Podcasts.

And you can listen to the free Kidsburgh Podcast on Apple PodcastsPandora and Spotify, at the SLB website, or listen to any episode right here.

We’re so glad we can bring inspiring stories, great information and a lot of fun to listeners throughout the Pittsburgh region and beyond. If there is a topic you’d like us to explore on a future episode of the Kidsburgh Podcast, you can let us know right here.
