Local youth discuss fair funding in education
The Hear Me project, an initiative of the CREATE Lab at Carnegie Mellon University, amplifies students’ voices using media and technology to create a world where young people are heard, acknowledged and understood–giving them the power to inspire social change.
In the final installment of a two-part podcast series, Hear Me interviews students in both the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia area to understand the harmful effects of inequitable funding in Pennsylvania school districts. This podcast also includes a brief interview about the Campaign for Fair Education Funding with Patrick Dowd, executive director of Allies for Children, a Pittsburgh-based child advocacy organization.
