Maker Monday: Bubble Pipe
Bright sunny days are perfect for blowing bubbles and chasing them across the lawn. This week’s Maker Monday project gives kids a chance to create a Bubble Pipe that produces clouds of bubbles that rise with the breeze.
Mom or Dad will need to help with the cutting, but kids can do the rest. This fun activity can keep kids busy outdoors. It’s a cool idea for a backyard party or picnic. Best of all, anything not readily at hand can be found at a dollar store.
Supplies:
Soft plastic cup
Straw
Bubbles liquid
Stickers
Sharp knife
A grownup is needed to cut a small hole in the cup, about 2 inches from the bottom. Slide the straw into the hole.
Decorate the cup with stickers to give a festive flair to your Bubble Pipe. Pour about an inch of bubble liquid into the cup, keeping below the straw opening.
Take a deep breath and blow through the straw. The bubble mixture will foam and bubble up, releasing bubbles into the air.
