We love Maker Monday projects that lead to delicious results. With this week’s project, kids can make a special and colorful dessert that the whole family can enjoy. The supplies can be found at most craft and grocery stores.
A note to kid makers: Please work with a parent or caregiver on this Maker Monday project and always be very careful when using tools of any kind.
Step 1: Insert a lollipop stick into each marshmallow.
Step 2: Place handfuls of white chocolate wafers into several small microwave-safe bowls. Melt the contents of each bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds as needed until the white chocolate is smooth.
Step 3: Add just a drop or two of food coloring into each bowl (a different color for each bowl) and stir until well mixed.
Step 4: Dip each of the marshmallows into the melted chocolate. You can use one or more colors per marshmallow.
Step 5: Immediately dip and roll each marshmallow in some sprinkles.
Step 6: Set your creations on waxed paper and allow the chocolate to dry.
Once the chocolate is dry, you can serve these creative, colorful treats to your family!
