Each week on the Kidsburgh podcast, we talk with people and share ideas that help families make their lives better. In our latest episode, Kidsburgh podcast hosts Melissa Rayworth, Yu-Ling Cheng and Kristine Sorensen get valuable (and delicious) family meal advice from nutrition expert Leslie Bonci.
We talk about making easy and healthy meals, and getting the whole family on board toward feeling great and eating well for a lifetime.
“There’s been some really cool research looking at kids who are part of the process,” Bonci says in the episode. “Even little ones, if it’s setting the table or just hands-on stirring something in a bowl, will actually derive more satisfaction from food than just showing up at the table to eat when somebody did all the work.”
You can listen to that interview and also discover this week’s Pittsburgh gem: the YMCA indoor pools, where families can have a taste of summer swimming in the winter. And at the end of the episode, don’t miss Tea with Teens, where local kids talk about their favorite dishes to cook and eat.
Our podcast is hosted by the Kidsburgh team — Kristine Sorensen, Yu-Ling Cheng and Melissa Rayworth — and recorded by SLB Radio Productions. Get all the details here. Find us on Apple Podcasts, Pandora and Spotify, at the SLB website, or listen right here:
