KDKA’s Talk Pittsburgh: Sharing our autism resources

April is Autism Awareness Month and Kidsburgh is glad to share resources that can help local kids and their families.

Yesterday, our executive editor Melissa Rayworth visited KDKA-TV’s Talk Pittsburgh to share with hosts Mikey Hood and Kelly Dzanaj about some of the autism-related guides and stories available on Kidsburgh.

They spoke about Kidsburgh’s guide offering expert advice on many aspects of autism, from the first steps of diagnosis to advocating for kids within their school districts and beyond. You’ll find all of that advice right here. The video below also explores a bit about our guide to 24 places in the Pittsburgh area offering sensory-friendly options and assistance. Melissa also talks with Mikey and Kelly about the PA Trolley Museum’s offerings for neurodiverse visitors.

Check out the video below and don’t miss our guide to books that can help kids understand and support peers with disabilities.
