Teen TEDx talks at Baldwin High School offer ideas worthy of discussion

In a day curated by students for students, Baldwin High School recently conducted TEDx talks.

TED talks –  for Technology, Entertainment and Design – began in 1984 at a conference. The talks are relatively short, running no longer than 18 minutes.  The idea is to discuss ideas worth sharing.

Baldwin High School falls under the TEDx brand of locally produced, self-organized events that follow the same TED-like format. Their intention is to provoke discussion and spark connections.

The event included talks from 15 students and three teachers. Subject topics ranged from Mikayla Davic’s “Breaking the Mold” to Alana Martucci’s “Positive Inspiration & Where to Find Them” to Megan Constantino’s “Answering the Unanswered Questions of Suicide.”
