The Kidsburgh Podcast is here! Check out the first episode.
We know you’re busy and you may not always have time to read a story or watch a video. But you also want expert insight and advice to help you raise the kids you love. And you need the latest info on the people, destinations and resources that make Pittsburgh a great place for families.
Kidsburgh has your back. We’ve created something new just for you: The Kidsburgh Podcast.
We’ve got all the people, places and ideas you need (plus an insider perspective from kids and teens themselves) packed into a series of podcast episodes that grownups and kids can listen to together.
Our podcast is hosted by Kidsburgh’s editor Melissa Rayworth, KDKA’s Kristine Sorensen and Kidsburgh director Yu-Ling Cheng, and recorded by our friends SLB Radio Productions. Our first episode dropped this week and there are more to come. Find us on Apple Podcasts, Pandora and Spotify, at the SLB website, or listen to episode one embedded below.
In our first episode we visit Dragon’s Den, the unique indoor ropes course located in a former Homestead church where kids can find challenge, connection and a chance to build their emotional toolbox. Then we talk with former Pittsburgh Pirate Travis Snider, a father of three who is focusing his post-baseball career on helping build a healthier culture for youth athletics and promoting a powerful mental wellness message for kids and parents.
And we wrap up with real thoughts from local teens about the ways grownups can have better conversations with them.
We hope you love the Kidsburgh Podcast. And we’d love to hear: What subjects, people and places would you like us to feature on future episodes? Email us here or message us on Instagram or Facebook.
