Kidsburgh is always looking for great stories that will help parents and kids in the Pittsburgh region. To help find them, for many years we’ve hosted our “Kidsburgh Pitch Meetings,” where we invite local organizations to tell us what they’re working on and how they’re helping families in southwestern Pennsylvania.
Our next one is almost here: On Thursday, Aug. 15, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., we’ll be gathering via Zoom in search of fall story ideas, including back-to-school topics and even some early holiday season ideas.
At Kidsburgh, we’re always looking for story ideas that would appeal to parents and caregivers by sharing helpful information, inspiring them or teaching them about the good things happening in our region for kids and families.
Join us for this fast-paced session where each participant will have two minutes to pitch their ideas to the Kidsburgh editorial team, including Kidsburgh’s executive editor Melissa Rayworth, Kristine Sorensen (KDKA TV) and Larry Berger (Saturday Light Brigade). In order to give everyone time to speak, this event is limited to 25 participants (only one person per organization, please), so do register soon.
And although we mainly hear from nonprofit organizations, schools and local businesses at these pitch events, we also want to welcome readers to join us.
Is there something particular you’d like us to do a story about? Tell us what kinds of stories would be helpful to you and your family, and tell us about remarkable kids and grownups making life better for others in the Pittsburgh region.
Register here if you’d like to attend.
We’d love to see you and learn from you about people Kidsburgh should write about, issues in your community that need attention, or any subject you’d like us to dig into and report on.
We just ask that you register, so we can make sure we’ll have enough time during those 90 minutes to hear everyone’s thoughts.
See you on Aug. 15!
